Meet The Therapist
Fajr Salaam-Goodwin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over six years of experience as a private practice therapist. After beginning her career in a group practice, Fajr launched her solo practice to expand her reach and offer meaningful support to individuals, organizations, and communities.
A proud graduate of the HBCU Virginia State University, Fajr earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. It was there that she discovered her passion for helping others—especially those who share her cultural background and lived experiences. After completing her undergraduate studies, she gained experience working with diverse adult populations while pursuing her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) at Monmouth University, with a clinical concentration in Children and Families.
Fajr began her clinical journey working with youth and families, just as she had envisioned. By day, she serves as a dedicated school social worker, providing counseling and addressing the social-emotional needs of students. Outside of the school setting, Fajr works with adults in private practice—utilizing her clinical expertise and deep compassion to help her clients reach their goals and become the best version of themselves.
